I have confirmation from my publishing buddies that Leaving the Tribe is ready for publication. In some ways that's comforting, but I'm a worrier by nature. I once had a publisher who put up the wrong file and published the book. (Thank goodness it wasn't my doing, because I'd never have recovered.) A reader contacted me and said, "There are places all through the book where words are crossed out and sentences have been reworded."

Oh, yay.

Needless to say I quit that publisher. Even a cursory look at the final file would have told them they'd screwed up!

So now it's just me. I check and check again, which is probably unhealthy. I mean, I paid two different editors to read and suggest improvements. I had my street team read ARCs and corrected the mistakes they found. It's done.

Right?
